Sam Cosgrove assisted nine-man Aberdeen earn a late draw against Hibernian.
The Dons fell behind in the 48th minute when Ryan Porteous stabbed home from close variety and matters got worse for the hosts after Curtis Main was shipped off minutes later.
Aberdeen kept battling, though, and Cosgrove led home to earn a share of the spoils with four minutes left before Lewis Ferguson was shown a red card in time.
Sky Sports Luke Shanley…
Both supervisors will probably be frustrated following this one for different factors. Paul Heckingbottoms Hibernian have been in a dominant position, a target up and a guy up but poor finishing has cost both points.
Christian Doidge is your guilty party missing four one-on-ones using Aberdeen goalkeeper and captain Joe Lewis, who did his job on every occasion.
Doidge united with big expectations awarded Hibernian paid a fair transfer fee for his services by their own criteria, but the prior Welsh basketball international failed to provide yet again.
He missed three good chances in the opening league match of the year against St Mirren. This outcome will not have helped his optimism and also the fans patience as Hibernians seven-and-a-half year wait to get a triumph in the Granite community goes on.
Derek McInnes assigned media duties to his helper Tony Docherty, who said the teams personality and belief were right down to the manager. Aberdeen seemed to play with 10 guys and they had to show their qualities at Ibrox following a weeks 5-0 thumping.
McInnes and Docherty felt neither Curtis Main nor Lewis Ferguson merited reddish cards because of their challenges on Stevie Mallan but sense of injustice worked for the group as they pulled together to salvage a point.
Another Aberdeen boost was the earlier than anticipated return of defender Scott McKenna out of harm. His existence will no doubt assist as Aberdeen look to regroup and recuperate over the worldwide break.
Motherwell moved into 3 points of Ladbrokes Premiership leaders Celtic having a 2-0 win over St Mirren in Fir Park.
The Well, who are a stage behind Rangers, in third position, were made to wait patiently till the 39th minute.
James Scott has been the man to grab the goal, with the Scotland U21 scoring a curling shot.
Chris Long then added gloss to depart St Mirren.
St Johnstone stay bottom of the table, and without a win.
Joe Chalmers opened the scoring for County in the 10th minute after reversing Ross Stewarts cross.
St Johnstone equalised after 34 minutes when Stevie May, who slotted home beyond Ross Laidlaw was found by a ball in behind.
The Saints took the lead six minutes following half-time when Matty Kennedy fired in a long-range strike.
Ross County rallied, though, and brought level to remain fifth.
Elsewhere, Chris Burke scored the only goal since Kilmarnock picked up a 1-0 win against Hearts at Tynecastle.
