Jenson Button making off-road racing debut at Baja 1000

Jenson Button is creating his racing debut in the Baja 1000 this weekend since the 2009 F1 world champion takes to the desert at a truck that is Sky-sponsored.
Button will compete in the event in Ensenada, Mexico, for Rocket Motorsport, the name of the karting team based on his late father John Button, and is currently rushing alongside team-mates Chris Buncombe, a former Le Mans LMP2 class winner, Mazen Fawaz and Terry Madden.
Even the Baja staged as 1967 1000, is the oldest and most prestigious competition of off-road racing and represents his portfolio is expanding in a way few champions do.
The event includes a brutal, 800-mile-long route through the desert to the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico.
Button has experienced seasons at WEC and Super GT, which he is leaving at the end of the season, last 43, while also taking about the 24 Hours of Le Mans with SMP racing since retiring from F1 in 2016.
