Cristiano Ronaldo is decided to end his career compared to Lionel Messi with at least one more Ballon d’Or because he attempts to establish herself.
After being voted the best player on five occasions, the Portugal skipper and his Barcelona and Argentina rival have every promised the award winning, but Ronaldo is unsatisfied with that.
„I would love [longer ], and I think I deserve it,“ said the Juventus forwards on ITV’s Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan.
„Messi is a wonderful guy, a fantastic player. He’s in football’s history but I believe I have to have seven or six or even eight to be above him.
„My connection with him isalso, we’re not friends, but we’ve shared this point for 15 years.
„I really have a good relationship with him and I understand he has pushed me to be a better player and I have pushed him to be a much better player as well.“
Even the 34-year-old, who concurred the Messi is the finest he has played against, expects to be remembered as one of the greatest – if not the best – footballers that the sport has ever seen.
He said:“I am sure I’m in the history of soccer for what I’ve done and what I am continuing to perform, but one of the best players ever.
„For me personally, the number one ever, but for some fans, if the quantity one is another one and I am second, it doesn’t matter.
„I know I’m at the background of football as one of the best ever.“
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player has five Champions League successes to his name, and it has led Portugal to Nations League glory and Euro 2016.
He has obtained 145 individual records, such as the all-time top international goalscorer and also the goals of Europe.
He said:“It is part of my sacrifice, my obsession win, to get success. I’ve worked for that, when I say victory. Talent isn’t enough, I devote documents are part of me.
„I do not follow the documents, the records follow me. I am hooked on the achievement, and I do not think it’s something bad, I think that it’s good. I am motivated by it. If you are not inspired, it’s far better to stop“
