The Los Angeles Dodgers, Using NL West honors in arm, travel to Queens for a series against the New York Mets.
The Dodgers clinched the NL West with a win over the Orioles at Baltimore. They immediately followed up that with a functionality in a 7-3 loss. Nobody seemed to care and that was revealed by the results on the scoreboard. Even to an extent , the Dodgers went through the motions at the plate and did not look their very best.
They ultimately won a game because of the Dodgers‘ bullpen. Rich Hill exited with a knee injury, as he came back by a forearm strain. Between other ailments and blisters, Hill has had difficulties staying healthy. A inning by the Dodgers in the 6th inning was the difference Thursday in Baltimore.
The Dodgers must discover a way to remain interested in the remainder of September. There homefield advantage to be worried about, but the job has been achieved from the season for the Dodgers. Anything else is a bonus. Beyond homefield advantage, it’s important to remain sharp heading into the postseason. That is all of the Dodgers are trying to perform in Queens this weekend. Clayton Kershaw hasn’t looked like himself recently. He has been looking beatable, and to get a man who has frequently been criticized for perusing at the postseason, will get questions to answer. Confidence in him will be low one of Dodgers‘ fans if he goes to the postseason chilly. Most pitchers would be delighted with the ERA of 3.06 in September, but he expects to find that below 3.00, and it had been only lately that he watched it tick up over that mark.

He moves into Citi Field using an ERA of both 6.19 and 1.31 WHIP in his last 3 outings. Kershaw has been less effective on the road, having a 3.61 ERA in 62.1 innings in contrast to some 2.70 ERA in Dodger Stadium in 2019.
Syndergaard had suffered some lumps recently as well. He got rocked against the Cubs for 9 earned runs but was able to repay in his second outing, holding the Nationals . As a consequence of the devastating operation against the Cubs, Syndergaard proceeds to tonight with a 7.80 ERA along with also 1.33 WHIP in his last 3 outings.
The Dodgers have not been totally with it. Seemingly the Dodgers celebrated a little too tough, although I really don’t know teams that observe wins. They’ve been a team this year, though not so good on the road, where the Dodgers have submitted a list of 39-33. Conversely, the Mets have appreciated Citi Field, using a list of 42-29. Anticipate the Mets to be the more focused staff Friday night. They look like the value in this area.
